Triple Cheese, Grilled Cheese

The richest and most delicious treat imaginable. But it’s hard to eat more than three. Sorry.

It is not often that I make something that is so delicious, yet can;t be finished because it is so rich in flavour.

I am not calling this my gourmet grilled cheese, simply because I could think of better cheeses to use.

Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese

The ladies favourite, and signature recipe, taken up a notch via the use of her slow cooker!

Before meeting my better half, I always toasted my cheese and ham sandwiches.

What she was able to do was open a world of possibilities, which is something she has been doing for me for a while now.

So, as it is Pulled Pork month, lets bring her original recipe into the FatLad sphere.

  • 100g Red Leicester Cheese
  • 1/2 ball of Mozzarella

Pizza Grilled Cheese

I take my favourite meal and put it into a Grilled Cheese. Whats not to love!

I have been coming up with new grilled cheese recipes weekly, ever since I came across them, via my lovely lady.

I mean, cheese and bacon/ham is pretty hard to beat.

But then I thought, if it’s cheesed based, and it is good meat, then theoretically it could work.

Pulled Brisket Grilled Cheese

Take a bit of brisket, and turn it into a monster meal for two!

One of the nicest things about barbecue, is that there is always leftovers. I mean, who charcoals a barbecue just to cook sausages?

I must admit I have never had Brisket of beef before, and I have been quite looking forward to it, although we can barbecue at the moment due to the rain.

Eggy Bread

They call it French Toast, I call it eggy bread. Tastes just as amazing.

This is a very basic recipe, but it is one of the most delicious, especially considering it is made with only two ingredients.

If you’ve ever asked the question “Do they call it toast in France?”, then you can stop.

Baguettes

This French classic is incredibly easy to make, assuming you follow my basic bread recipe. Its all about the oven on this one.

I am not a fan of sandwiches on boring white bread with the usual suspects.

I don’t mind the usual suspects, but the bread needs to be nice. Baguettes are a great alternative.

Focaccia

FatLad shares the recipe for his first foray in to bread making.

Believe it or not, this was the bread that really got me started in making my own from scratch each time.

Piri Piri Chicken, created from scratch, for one of the best sandwiches ever made.

Piri Piri sauce seems to be the in thing these days, having seen many a person through the barbecue days of last year.

Sweet Potato Burgers

Sweet Potatoes can be used for more than Mash and Fries. They can be Burgers too!

Over the past year I have been toying with vegetarian cooking, mostly due to trying to lose weight.

I decided this time last year to go vegetarian for a few months, in order to lower my intake of fat, allowing me to feel healthier as a part of a balanced diet. I lived on these burgers amongst other things, never feeling short changed and always left full.
